Our first Pride in Whittiers history was Founded in 2019, The Original Whittier Pride has made a tremendous impact thanks to the help of members and volunteers in the Whittier & LA County community. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects & events we take part in. Lessons Learned: The Key to Non-Profit Program Evaluation
After a very difficult time during this Covid19 Pandemic we wholeheartedly believe in our commitment to serving our community w/ integrity. Helping us persevere through adversity. On Sept. 1 we had a successful LGBTQ+ event with Music, Poetry and ART in Uptown Whittier. We had a Magic show by an amazing Magician Julian🤹🏼🪄, Drag Queen Anya body, A talented singer Thenu, An amazing cello performance by Cello Azul🎻🎼, a unique band performance by The Corner House Band 🥁🎸and Maria La Chingona!
If you are an lgbtq+ Artist that does music a capella, beat boxing, dance, singing, spoken word, poetry or any unique experience feel free to reach out and see if we can fill you in these events.
Special Thank you to @turnbullstavern for creating a safe space of inclusivity for LGBTQ+ Artists 🎶🎵in our Whittier community. We invited our LGBTQ+ community and fam to celebrate a PRIDE Summer Night w/ us. We are always looking to celebrate with openness and positivity again. Always Positive➕ Vibes only.
